| Food parcel distribution in Gaza |
Ramadan is a special month in which the spending increases,
and this increases the responsibilities of the families to get their basic
needs for their children.
This leads to the increase of the suffering of poor and
needy families. Especially as because of the rising living expenses and high
prices for the low rate of monthly income. This project of food parcels alleviates the suffering of
those families as they ensure that the needy family get all their needs.
Due to the growing household expenditures and the large
demands of everyday life in the month of Ramadan and as many families can't
bear the costs and burdens of these expenses, this project helps families in
need of assistance to get at least the basic needs.
So the society takes into consideration great importance to
the project where food parcels are provided to needy families and the poor who suffer hunger during Ramadan. And for the
people who were forced to leave their houses due to the war, or their houses
were demolished.
The food parcel ensures the minimum basic needs for the poorest families, especially those living
in borders areas who were badly affected by the war. We supplied :
- Ground lentil
- Rice
- Tomato paste
- Spaghetti
- Tea
- Chickpeas
- Chidder chesses
- White cheese (vita)
- Dates
- Butter
- Beans (cans)
- Jam
- Halva (sweetness)
- Tahini
The contents of the package were put in cartoon boxes
with the name of the project and funded institution and its logo. The boxes
were carefully closed to protect the contents so that they reach their owners complete and in good condition.
The food parcels were distributed food parcels based on
the plan and certain criteria in order to ensure the success of distribution
process. The distribution of food parcels was all over Gaza Strip and it is
also distributed for the shelters of people at schools.
The general and special standards for the distribution to
the regions took into consideration the following points:
- The population of the region
damage to the regions due to the war.
-poor and marginalized areas.
- The number of families who didn't get assistance from
other programs
- Number of family members

The society prepared the list of the names according for
every region, and this was checked carefully in order to ensure that this aid
reaches the most needy families and those who deserve it.
The distribution of food parcels, was according to the
political and security situation, some families get the food parcels from the
branches of the society, while the staff have delivered the parcels to them at
their locations.
Ramadan projects have a great impact in the hearts of the
people of the Gaza Strip, the projects contributed to the alleviation of their
suffering especially at the difficult
circumstances experienced by Gaza Strip in the current period.
The society appreciate highly all the efforts done for
supporting Ramadan projects that alleviate the sufferings of needy families.
